Senegal parrot, Raz. Very sweet, huggable, but more a one person or family pet. Raz likes to have breakfast and dinner. Pretty much whatever you are having but, keep in mind their diet consists of fresh and cooked fruits, vegetables, some fish, chicken, and no fast or processed foods, except pasta, breads, crackers. They also like spicy things and even, believe it or not LOVE hot peppers that are fresh. Senegals are playful and like to chew up their toys so you have to pick toys that satisfy that urge. They like foot toys too. Raz will lay in your hand and likes to be hugged close. She loves to sit on your shoulder and watches everything you do. She has watched me do the dishes so many times; I am hoping she picks it up soon! She also tells the dog to "get in your house" and calls her by name. Magoo has graduated from The MIPAws Program (a special training program which places dogs with a female prisoner at the Huron Valley Women’s Correctional facility for a period of 8 weeks)! He is tolerant of grooming [including trimming nails, checking teeth and ears, brushing, etc.]. walks nicely on leash, knows commands sit, down, stay, come", leave it", as well as up and off and! Magoo is also housetrained. Magoo is a gentle giant who loves to play fetch and will release the ball on command. Magoo is an attentive and calm dog whose droopy eyes and dopey face will melt your heart. At about 130 pounds he is a big boy and will need an owner that is physically strong enough for this big baby. He is sweet and affectionate and loves to play with toys. He is best suited to a home with older children because of his size. He will also need a home without felines. Come meet this boy who truly deserves a second chance at having a great life!
